科目概要
本科目では、実際のビジネスにおいて求められるコミュニケーションスキルおよび構成について学びます。クラスでは、学術的理論・研究成果とケーススタディ分析などを用いて、いわゆる上位の思考技術、ピア・エンゲージメント、インターパーソナルコンフィデンス、また異文化環境特有の問題やイディオムの異なる英語の理解などに取り組みます。とくにプロフェッショナルに求められる能力という視点からビジネスリサーチ、ライティング、対人折衝能力の開発に焦点を当てています。

Krista Mathis

She has been teaching the Public Speaking and Communication Skills subjects at Bond since 2004. Krista also teaches professional communication workshops in public speaking and academic writing to executive-level Bond MBA students each semester. In addition to traditional classroom teaching, she instructs Japanese MBA students in Business Communication Skills, using virtual classroom technology. Prior to arriving in Australia, she worked in newspaper advertising at the Omaha World-Herald in the United States, creating and proposing advertising campaigns; she also worked for the University of Iowa Foundation, soliciting gifts and pledges from alumni donors. Krista is currently working on her PhD, examining the use of humour, storytelling and virtual presence in online tertiary education..
